Willmott Dixon has announced that the Chiswick Health Centre project in London, UK, has reached a major milestone with its topping-out ceremony. 

The ceremony was attended by representatives from National Health Service Property Services, Hounslow Council, North West London Integrated Care Board, and the local primary care network, among others. 

Hounslow Council cabinet member for Adult Social Care/councillor Samia Chaudhary alongside councillor Sue Sampson said: “This endeavour is a testament to the power of collaboration.  

“The partnership between the London Borough of Hounslow and the National Health Service Property Services (NHSPS) exemplifies what can be achieved when entities come together with a shared vision and purpose.” 

Hounslow Council and the NHS selected Dixon to deliver the £40m ($50.51m) health centre in April last year.  

Allies & Morrison designed the centre, which is one of Dixon's several ongoing projects in Hounslow, including the Brentford Block D and Frank Towell Court housing developments. 

Dixon South managing director Richard Poulter said: “We are delighted to be working in collaboration with NHSPS and Hounslow Council to deliver such an important project for the community with a focus on sustainable solutions, improved health facilities and housing for key workers in the area." 

The new Chiswick Health Centre is set to replace an existing facility in the area.

It will provide a broader range of general practice (GP) services, including community and mental health services.  

Additional amenities will include a public community garden, a private landscaped central courtyard, and a fifth-floor terrace with gardens. 

The centre will also offer 55 affordable homes for health workers, including nurses and physiotherapists. 

Dixon also secured a contract to redevelop the existing headquarters building of Hertfordshire Constabulary in Stanborough, UK, earlier this month
