The Government of Saint Lucia and Invest Saint Lucia (ISL) have reached a development agreement with Atlas Group to build the Caribbean Jewel Seven Wonders development.
Caribbean Jewel Seven Wonders is a proposed project located in Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia.
The project will encompass seven zones around Gros-Islet's Mount Pimard, with each zone offering diverse amenities and services such as 480-room luxury resorts, over-the-sea bungalows, villas, specialised clinical services, and a wedding chapel, as well as a wellness retreat centre run by TheLifeCo, an international well-being brand.
The initial phase of the project is scheduled to open in 2025.
Atlas Group is an international construction group with expertise across diverse market segments.
Meanwhile, ISL is the official investment promotion agency for Saint Lucia and is the third largest landowner in the island country. It is claimed to be the only self-sustaining non-government-funded statutory agency in the region.
Saint Lucia's government aims to continue attracting direct foreign investment through ISL.
It also plans to generate sustainable employment opportunities and foster economic linkages, thereby growing the local economy.
Earlier this year, the government permitted Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority to resume the Hewanorra International Airport Redevelopment Project.
Construction of the project was temporarily put on hold in 2021 and is now expected to be completed by the first half of 2024.
