Cedar Coast and Orion Construction have broken ground on the Cade Barr Business Park in Mission, British Columbia, Canada.

The business park, encompassing more than 400,000ft², will feature four light-industrial buildings and is Cedar Coast's first development project in Cedar Valley.

This 7.37ha site is situated at the north-east corner of Dewdney Trunk Road and Cade Barr Street.

Orion Construction president Joshua Gaglardi said: “Cade Barr Business Park epitomises our dedication to crafting superior products and advancing innovative industrial spaces that improve both community well-being and support entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

"We look forward to welcoming new businesses to this exceptional development.”

Cade Barr Business Park is being constructed in phases to address the industrial space shortage in Metro Vancouver.

The first phase, which includes Buildings A and B, is anticipated to be completed by the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

The second phase, comprising Buildings C and D, will progress in response to the rapidly growing market's needs.

Buildings A and D will offer large-bay units while Buildings C and B will provide small-bay units.

More than 85% of the first phase has already been presold.

Additionally, a 0.86ha portion of the land has been dedicated to the construction of a new fire station, enhancing emergency services for Mission's growing population.

Cedar Coast Development vice-president Aaron Fedora said: “This project provides the infrastructure for hundreds of new jobs for Mission’s residents and the economic engine for new commercial development in Cedar Valley. Cedar Coast is proud to contribute to Mission’s flourishing community.”

This project is set to expand the city's light industrial base by more than 25%.
