Caddick Construction has completed the construction of a new warehouse facility at Unity Connect scheme in Doncaster, England, UK.

The project, called Unit B, has been delivered on behalf of the company’s development partner Waystone Hargreaves Land.

The £14.4m ($18.40m) facility covers 191,000ft², including 9,300ft² of office space across two floors. It is intended to meet the growing demand for new industrial facilities across Yorkshire.

It also has a service yard, car parking, landscaping, and drainage infrastructure.

Caddick's construction work involved extensive groundworks such as stabilisation, vibro piling, and raising the site level by 1.5m.

The project also saw the building of a steel portal framed and clad industrial warehouse building.

Caddick managing director Paul Dodsworth said: “Delivering Unit B at Unity Connect is a great privilege for the Caddick team, and has provided us the opportunity to utilise our extensive expertise in building high-quality and modern warehouses.

“We look forward to seeing how this project will help to shape the local community as it attracts new and growing businesses hoping to strengthen their operations at Unity Connect.”

The Unity Connect scheme has achieved a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method 'Very Good' rating.

It is part of a broader initiative by Waystone Hargreaves Land to invest in and revitalise the local community, contributing to the growth of Doncaster's business sector.

Hargreaves Land project director Chris Metcalfe said: “We are very happy with the excellent quality of build and performance from Caddick Construction.

“Throughout the scheme, the contractor worked collaboratively with our stakeholders to deliver this successful project.”

Caddick Construction is also engaged in other projects across Yorkshire, including the construction of six modern industrial units at Leeds Valley Park for Caddick Developments.

Last June, the company obtained planning permission to redevelop Cape House at Wakefield 41 Business Park, West Yorkshire, UK.
