Build Your Fortress has announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha to provide HyPerformance Homes & Structures for communities across North America.
This collaboration aims to use structural insulated panels (SIPs) construction technology to build energy-efficient, durable homes with structural integrity in a reduced timeframe compared to traditional building methods.
The initiative will commence in several Nebraska, US, communities, with Build Your Fortress planning to extend the programme to additional states.
SIPs construction technology enables the completion of framing, inclusive of cutouts for plumbing and electrical work, within three days from the start of the project.
This approach expedites the building process, as well as offers enhanced protection against extreme weather conditions.
Build Your Fortress CEO Michelle Fox said: “We are elated to announce the formation of our partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, part of a world-class organisation with an extraordinary track record in helping people build homes, communities and hope throughout the world."
“We are proud that Habitat for Humanity of Omaha has recognised our innovative approach to home construction as well as our commitment to community, and we are so pleased to have the opportunity to work together."
In April of this year, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha initiated construction on two affordable homes in the West Valley subdivision, located near 24th and Nebraska Streets.
These first homes mark the beginning of a five-year commitment to build ten homes.
