Avant Homes Central has acquired a 22-acre site at Pleasley Hill Farm, Mansfield, UK, for an undisclosed amount.

The company intends to construct 396 homes that feature between two and four bedrooms, subject to planning approval.

This project will include 40 houses that will be allocated as affordable housing.

Additionally, the homes will be available to those looking to enter the private rented sector.

These homes will be designed to cater to a wide range of buyers, covering various price points and tenures.

Avant Homes Central director Matt Barker said: “Our Pleasley Hill Farm site acquisition represents an exciting opportunity for us to expand our development footprint into Mansfield.

“As a house builder, we want to build quality new homes for everyone and this site is an ideal location for us to deliver our range of practically designed, energy-efficient homes in a place people want to live. We look forward to working with Mansfield District Council and submitting our plans to deliver a new and thriving community within the town.”

The new housing project has an estimated gross development value of £90m ($115.28m).

Avant Homes plans to invest approximately £55m to deliver the latest project, supporting local businesses and communities over six to seven years.

The development will be part of a larger mixed-use project that is expected to offer up to 850 residential units, along with retail and commercial spaces.

The latest development comes following the company’s announcement of commencing the third and final construction phase at the Carnethy Heights project in Penicuik, Scotland, last month.

This phase includes the construction of 35 energy-efficient family homes on a 16.5-acre site.
