Aldar Properties has teamed up with Nikki Beach Global, a luxury lifestyle hospitality company, to develop three branded residential buildings in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates.

The cooperation will see the development of the waterfront residences as part of a larger beachfront community on Al Marjan Island. Sales of the properties are expected to begin later this year.

Aldar said that the proposed residential project, which will be located between Rixos Bab Al Bahr and DoubleTree by Hilton Resort and Spa Marjan Island, would redefine coastal living in RAK.

Aldar Development CEO Jonathan Emery said: "As Aldar continues to expand its footprint in Ras Al Khaimah, our partnership with Nikki Beach is key to developing an unparalleled residential offering in an emirate that is growing as an investment hub and tourism destination.

“Nikki Beach, with its global prestige and proven track record in upscale hospitality, aligns perfectly with Aldar’s vision to create memorable experiences and thriving communities and we look forward to unveiling more details about the master plan soon."

The Nikki Beach Residences will offer fully furnished apartments with expansive balconies, providing vistas of the Arabian Gulf.

The residences will feature common areas, including a clubhouse with a lounge and restaurant, a hospitality suite for hosting gatherings, and a wellness-focused community.

Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts chair and CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Jihad El Khoury said: “Our collaboration signifies a perfect blend of Aldar's expertise in creating thriving communities and Nikki Beach's reputation for delivering unique lifestyle experiences.

"These residences will not only offer residents curated living spaces but also a true sense of community that Nikki Beach is known for.”

First movers have a clear advantage and could be seen as leading metaverse adopters in the construction market

The construction industry has large and complex sites to manage, strict project deadlines, hazardous working conditions, and tight profit margins. It is also under increasing pressure to improve its ESG credentials and digitalize. The three primary use cases for the metaverse in the construction industry are training, building information modeling (BIM) renders, and collaborative creation, though its adoption is still in its infancy.
