AF Gruppen's subsidiary HMB has secured a turnkey contract to construct 87 apartments in the Stockholm district of Nockebyhov/Bromma in Sweden.
Commissioned by Familjebostäder, the contract is valued at Skr178m ($16.79m), excluding VAT.
The development, named Oldmästaren, will feature a mix of rental units, including six apartments designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
It will include storage solutions tailored to the size of each apartment, with external storage rooms provided for all units.
Additionally, every apartment will have built-in wardrobes and security doors, among others.
The property will include a communal laundry room, and all bathrooms will be prefitted for the installation of washing machines.
One of the three buildings set for construction is designated as an environmental flagship project, set to achieve the Miljöbyggnad Gold certification.
The construction is said to use a concrete frame structure, complemented by wooden facades with standing panels.
In addition, the roof design draws inspiration from a former boiler plant located behind the residential buildings, which has been transformed into a multifunctional bicycle room.
AF Gruppen EVP Bård Frydenlund said: “We are pleased with the renewed trust from the customer, and we look forward to starting this exciting project in collaboration with Familjebostäder.”
Construction for Oldmästaren is set to start around the transition from 2024 to 2025.
Last year, AF Gruppen subsidiary Kanonaden Entreprenad secured a turnkey contract worth Skr122m, excluding VAT, to build a wind farm in Velinga, Tidaholm, Sweden.
