CBH Homes, a US homebuilder, has partnered with Camp Rainbow Gold, a non-profit organisation, to begin the construction of six Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant cabins at Hidden Paradise in Idaho, US.

This project represents Idaho's first medical camp.

The CBH Homes team, along with trade partners and volunteers, is working to complete the cabins within a three-day timeframe.

The goal of this project is to create accessible facilities that cater to the needs of all children.

CBH Homes vice-president Ronda Conger said: “This is more than just a construction project; it's about building a brighter future for Idaho's children.

“It’s going to be fast and furious but it will be a life-changing experience for all, and these cabins will have a huge impact on so many lives.”

The six cabins being constructed will feature ramps, accessible bathrooms, and other necessary amenities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for campers with diverse abilities.

Camp Rainbow Gold has recently received a $5,000 grant from the Home Depot Foundation, which will contribute to the supplies and construction of the cabins.

Located on 172 acres in Fairfield, Idaho, Hidden Paradise will function as a year-round sanctuary for various non-profit organisations.

The site is designed to offer a range of programmes and activities that promote healing, growth, and community connection.

With the addition of the new cabins, Hidden Paradise is set to increase its capacity to support more children and families in need.

Camp Rainbow Gold CEO Elizabeth Lizberg said: “The construction of these cabins signifies a major milestone in our mission to provide empowering experiences for children with cancer and their families.

“We are deeply grateful to all of the companies, people, donors, and all the volunteers who have made this possible.”

Last month, CBH Homes celebrated the grand opening of Topaz Ranch West, a new community in Caldwell.
