The company stated that the approximately 6,700-gross-square-metre school building will be constructed using a life cycle model.
Architecture firm Arkkitehtitoimisto Perko has been appointed to design the project.
The landscapes and views of Lake Vesijärvi and Lake Päijänne are also considered for the project design.

By GlobalDataThe new building will provide space for about 530 upper secondary school and high school students.
It will also include facilities for arts and crafts, along with a multi-purpose hall and stage.
All the facilities are designed with a focus on safety, physical activity, ecology, diversity and new technology forms.
Municipality of Asikkala Mayor Rinna Ikola-Norrbacka said: “Vääksy upper secondary and high school will be a modern and adaptable learning environment that is used by Wellamo College, organisations and associations in the evenings.
“There will also be facilities for events and concerts for 600 people in the school building. The municipality of Asikkala wants to invest in a highly functional and modern school network and the construction of a new school building supports this goal.”
For the school building project, energy efficiency, material choices, low-carbon design solutions, products, services and equipment were prioritised.
YIT noted that the new Vääksy school premises will be available for use by associations, companies, sports clubs and other educational institutions.
Construction work on the project is set to commence this year and school commissioning is planned for the start of 2024.
