WNC & Associates and White Lotus Group have concluded an agreement to build the Mural Nebraska affordable housing project in the US.
The housing project in Lincoln, Nebraska, will involve an investment of $34.5m and add 90 units to the community.
Mural Nebraska’s development is supported by a federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity of $12.9m contributed by WNC & Associates, state LIHTC acquired by RiseImpact Capital, and the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority’s tax-exempt bonds.
The project is situated on the site of the former Pershing Center at 220 Centennial Mall South, demolished in August 2023.
The five-storey, 86,000ft² building will provide 90 affordable housing units, with 81 designated for individuals earning 60% of the area median income (AMI) and nine for those at 40% AMI.
Mural Nebraska will provide residents with easy access to downtown Lincoln’s amenities, including the Nebraska State Capitol and the University of Nebraska campus.
