Westcore has broken ground on a 720,000ft2 three-building industrial campus spread on 51 acres of land in Avondale, Arizona.
The campus will be located at 199th Avenue and near the soon-to-be-opened new Fairway Drive interchange on the Interstate 10.
Westcore has partnered with Opus Group to act as the project’s development manager and the design-build general contractor.
The project is expected to be completed by Q2 2021.
Westcore managing director Hack Adams said: “Fairway 10 is our first speculative development in the rapidly expanding Phoenix industrial market, and we’re already seeing encouraging tenant interest.
“Tens of millions of consumers in the Southwest U.S. and Northern Mexico are within a day’s drive from warehouses and e-commerce facilities located in the greater region, driving continued demand for quality industrial space.”
The Fairway 10 project will feature two single-loaded buildings of 162,000ft2 and 170,000 ft2 which will be suitable for two to four tenants.
It will also include a 390,000ft2 cross-dock building which will be suitable for one to two tenants.
Adams added: “We’ve made a number of investments in the Phoenix area this year. Southwest Phoenix has emerged as one of the most vibrant industrial markets nationally, and it remains a strategic market for growing our portfolio.”
The Fairway 10 project is being marketed by Anthony Lydon, Marc Hertzberg and Riley Gilbert of JLL.
