Webuild, in a joint venture (JV) with its French partner NGE, has received a contract to build Lot 2 of the Metro Grand Paris Express Line 15 west section in France.
The contract, worth €1.38bn ($1.50bn), has been commissioned by Société des grands projets.
Webuild’s share of the total contract value is 45.5%.
It will be executed by Webuild via a JV with NGE, Equans France, and TSO.
The latest contract entails the design and construction of four underground stations, as well as approximately 7km of tunnels using tunnel boring machines.
It will also comprise six functional structures between the Pont de Sèvres and Saint-Denis Pleyel stations.

Line 15, encircling Paris, will feature 36 stations that traverse 45 municipalities and four departments of the Île-de-France region.
It is said to become France’s longest metro line at 75km.
It will integrate 95% of the new lines with the existing transport network, including Transilien services, RER, metros, tramways, and buses.
The Grand Paris Express aims to be a sustainable mobility solution that will enhance the quality of life throughout the Paris area, connecting suburbs with the city centre.
This project plans to construct approximately 200km of lines and 68 stations, with almost 90% of the network being underground.
Upon completion, it is expected to serve more than three million passengers daily.
Earlier this month, Webuild implemented a sustainable excavation technique at the Naples-Bari high-speed/high-capacity railway construction site in Italy.
