European real estate company VGP has announced the commencement of construction for additional warehouses at VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City in the Czech Republic.
This development follows the operational launch of the park’s first building.
The expansion includes the construction of warehouses B and C, with the former being prepared specifically for Czech logistics company RTR – Transport A Logistika.
The Czech company will lease approximately 10,787m² of the total 29,000m² space, which includes both warehouse and office areas.
RTR – Transport A Logistika managing director Pavel Kříž said: “The hall in VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City will substantially increase the volume of our logistics services offerings within the region of Ústí nad Labem, where we have been operating a logistics centre in Krásné Březno for a long time.
“The new premises, built to BREEAM green certification, will allow us to provide highly efficient and sustainable logistics operations for all our clients using modern technologies. We are happy that this new hall is being built for us by the developer VGP, with whom we have been cooperating already for 20 years.”

By GlobalDataThe new facility is being developed to meet Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) Very Good green certification standards.
Completion is expected to be in the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year.
VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City is being developed on a brownfield site near the city centre.
The park will feature three halls, each with a minimum BREEAM Very Good green certification, offering more than 52,000m² of leasable space across an 11ha area.
Hall A is already completed and fully occupied by tenants Exyte Technology and Bosal Aftermarket Europe while Halls B and C are under construction.
In line with its sustainability efforts, parts of the building’s facade will have greenery and the park will include a retention basin to maintain water levels, along with an insect hotel.
The park’s location is a three-minute drive from the city centre and a five-minute walk from the train station.
It is also 2km from the D8 motorway, which links the Czech capital city Prague and Dresden, Germany.
The expansion is expected to create numerous new jobs, contributing to employment and economic growth within the region.
