
Veidekke has secured a contract from Altus Eiendom to build the Kysthagen residential project on Straume in Øygarden municipality outside Bergen in Norway.
This project comprises 42 apartments, commercial premises and a parking facility.
The $11.14m (NOK100m) contract, excluding VAT, is for designing and building the project.
Construction of the project is set to commence this month.
Veidekke Bygg Bergen district manager Erlend Bygnes said, “We have been a part of building Sotra Kystby on Straume since its inception in 2009, and we are proud that we once again are part of a construction project that contributes to shape the new urban centre area of Øygarden municipality. The project is based on our concept and a joint development process with Altus Eiendom.”
The project has different apartment types park with benches, barbecue area and playground.
Straumsundet sea area and shopping mall Sartor Storsenter with more than 160 shops, restaurants, cinema and other medical services, are located close to the project.
Bergen city centre is just 15 minutes by car from the project.
