Scandinavian construction company Veidekke has been selected by developer Moro to construct the Haslevangen project within the Hasle area of Oslo, Norway.

This is a design-and-build contract valued at Nkr410m ($36m), excluding VAT.

Veidekke department manager Morten Barreth said: “Haslevangen is a well-developed project with good solutions and qualities that we believe will be well received in the market.

“We have collaborated with Moro on the project since the summer of 2024 in a smooth and good process and look forward to extending the good cooperation during the construction of the project. We greatly appreciate the commission.”

The Haslevangen project will consist of seven buildings, ranging from four to eight storeys, featuring 136 one- to three-bedroom apartments, most with south-facing balconies.

The project will include a common basement for storage and parking, three rooftop terraces, and green outdoor spaces for residents.

With its proximity to the Løren and Hasle metro stations, the project presents a residential opportunity offering city and sea views, stated Veidekke.

Moro executive Kristin Mortensen said: “We’re looking forward to realising a central and attractive residential project in close proximity to the Løren and Hasle metro stations.

“When sales in the project start later this year, this will be an opportunity to buy an apartment in Hasle’s best location.”

Demolition work for the project was completed in late 2024.

Construction will begin immediately, with handover planned between late 2026 and early 2027.

This project is included as part of Veidekke’s order book for the first quarter of 2025.

Earlier this month, Veidekke won the bid for the initial construction phase of an emergency building and municipal health centre in Kristiansand, Norway.
