Thompson Builders, a California-based general contractor, has secured a $12.3m tenant improvement project for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District’s communications centre and division office in California, US.

The company is tasked with modernising and enhancing emergency response infrastructure at the site.

The project will be undertaken in two phases, with phase one focusing on the remodelling of the existing division office at 2010 Geary Road, Pleasant Hill.

This 7,900ft² facility will be transformed into a hub for emergency call monitoring and dispatching.

Upon completion, operations will shift to this newly renovated communications centre.

Phase two, meanwhile, will transform the existing communications centre at 2900 Dorothy Drive, Pleasant Hill, into the new division office.
