A 50:50 joint venture of Tarmac and Kier has secured a contract from the Transport for London(TfL) to deliver construction, renewal, and enhancement of highways infrastructure.
The JV will be responsible for delivery of new schemes to improve walking and cycling.
Running from April this year to March 2027, this Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework is intended for use by TfL, London Boroughs and other authorities.
The JV has been appointed as one of the three main contractors to share a third of the framework’s Level 0 and 1 works.
These works feature construction schemes and design development work.
Under the framework, the core contractors will work on medium complexity projects, typically of up to $34m (£25m). The high complexity projects, worth over $34m (£25m), will be open to core contractors and two other framework contractors under mini competitions.
