Swift Navigation has partnered with Bad Elf to deliver a turnkey solution for high-volume and high-precision geographic information systems (GIS) data collection.
Bad Elf provides global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers for GIS and surveys while Swift Navigation specialises in precise positioning technologies for automotive, Internet of Things, and mobile applications.
The latest move includes the integration of Bad Elf’s affordable GNSS receivers with Swift’s positioning solutions.
Swift’s Skylark Precise Positioning Service, a cloud-based GNSS corrections service, is claimed to offer accurate and reliable positioning globally.
Meanwhile, Bad Elf’s GNSS receivers, including Flex and Flex Mini, are designed for modern GIS mapping applications and are compatible with a range of devices through Bluetooth connectivity.
This eliminates vendor lock-in and, when used with Skylark, provides centimetre-level accuracy and rapid position fixing.
