SRV, a Finnish construction company, has entered into an agreement with Projekti GH to develop the Garden Helsinki project, which encompasses a multipurpose arena and additional facilities in Töölö, Helsinki, Finland.
The parties plan to finalise the project’s implementation phase once the development phase is completed and all necessary prerequisites are met for construction to commence.
Last November, Projekti GH, the developer of the Garden project, and the City of Helsinki signed a binding preliminary agreement for a real estate transaction expected to generate at least €25m ($26.28m) for the city.
The Garden Helsinki project aims to create a versatile event centre that will include the aforementioned arena, as well as a hotel, office spaces, a parking facility, and residential buildings.
The new event centre will incorporate the old Helsinki Ice Hall and will cater to cultural and sports events throughout the year.
In October last year, SRV and the City of Hyvinkää agreed on a collaboration to construct a multipurpose arena in Hangonsilta, Finland.
