A joint venture of John Holland and McConnell Dowell South East Asia has won a contract, valued at S$265.4m ($186.1m), from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore to design and construct three Jurong Region Line (JRL) stations and associated viaducts.
Under the contract, the joint venture will be responsible for the construction of Tengah Plantation, Tengah Park and Bukit Batok West JRL stations and viaducts spanning 2.3km.

The Tengah Park Station will support the existing residential developments along Bukit Batok Road while Tengah Plantation Station will serve future residential developments in Tengah New Town.
Additionally, Bukit Batok West Station will serve existing residential and commercial developments within the Bukit Batok West and Yuhua areas.
The joint venture is planning to commence construction work on the three JRL stations later in 20202 with completion scheduled in 2027.
Recently, the LTA awarded three contracts worth S$596m ($428.6m) to construct four stations for the JRL and their associated viaducts.

By GlobalDataLTA selected China Communications Construction Company to design and construct the Boon Lay station and a 0.8km viaduct along Jurong West Street 64.
Sembcorp Design and Construction received a contract to design and construct the Gek Poh and Tawas stations while Daelim Industrial was selected to design and construct the Jurong East station and a 0.5km viaduct at the station.
Being developed in three phases, the 24km-long JRL mass rapid transport link will connect the north-western and western parts of Singapore.
The JRL will comprise 24 stations with three interchange stations at Jurong East MRT, Boon Lay and Choa Chu Kang. The project will support the Singapore government’s plans to transform the Jurong Lake District into a Central Business District.
