Saudi Arabia’s national community developer ROSHN has signed contracts worth SAR1.9bn ($510m) with Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast and Siemens to support the first phase development of its Riyadh community development project.
The partnership with Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast is for the construction of 3,000 homes along with associated utilities, roads and landscaping for the first phase development.
According to ROSHN, the contracts with Shapoorji Pallonji and Siemens are an important development pillars in the construction of the Riyadh community.
The Riyadh community is spread across an area of 20 million m2 and is located south of King Khalid International Airport.
The community, which will include more than 30,000 contemporary homes, is close to the city’s main attractions, key highways and transportation links.
It will also include mosques, shops, cafes, parks, schools, and leisure and entertainment facilities.

The Riyadh project is part of ROSHN’s mandate to contribute to the growing demand for accessible homes throughout Saudi Arabia.
The contract secured by Siemens covers detailed engineering, procurement, and the construction of all associated underground cabling totalling 26km.
