Robertson Construction Tayside has commenced work on new community facilities at Mill O’Mains Primary School, Dundee, the UK.
The community extension at Mill O’Mains Primary School will provide amenities including a refurbished gym hall, stage and changing facilities.
Robertson Construction Tayside is delivering the project for Dundee City Council. The contract was procured through Procurement Hub Major Projects framework.
Two senior councillors have visited the site to see work starting along with Kevin Dickson, Regional Managing Director at Robertson.
Dundee City Council’s city development committee depute convener and councillor Steven Rome said: “Many communities across the city have already benefitted from similar arrangements with their local primary or secondary school.
“This project extends the same opportunity to people in Mill O’Mains to access up to date facilities in their community and for us to bring forward planned improvements to the school building itself.”

By GlobalDataWork totalling £3.2m includes construction of a 380m2 community extension with two connected multi-purpose rooms, changes to form a new entrance and multi-purpose space, new toilets, refurbishing of assembly/gym, stage and changing facilities.
The kitchen/dining area will be upgraded while roof coverings to various areas will renewed along with renewal of boilers, ventilation plant and other services to the school.
Construction work is expected to finish early next year.
