
QA Venue Solutions Rwanda has signed an agreement with the Government of Rwanda to manage Kigali Arena for seven years.
Located in the heart of the Rwandan capital city, the 10,000-seat multipurpose arena was opened in August last year.
As part of the agreement, QA Venue Solutions will develop the complete events calendar to host sports at Kigali Arena by collaborating with local and international federations.
The company will also work with event organisers, professional conference organisers, promoters, and the meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions (MICE) industry under the agreement.
By making an investment of $2.4m, it aims to host a multitude of memorable events.
Furthermore, QA Venue Solutions will integrate various online and physical systems to improve the workability of Kigali Arena.

By GlobalDataThese systems include online ticketing, facility management systems and sound / AV systems.
The company will also work with ‘Made in Rwanda’ brands / products to ensure the facility’s retail points are completely operational to the public.
After signing the management agreement, the Ministry of Sports Permanent Secretary, Didier Shema – Maboko said that Kigali Arena has already hosted several events since its opening.
Maboko further added: “The Government of Rwanda intends to work with QA Venue Solutions to bring the best of events from around the world to Rwanda, which will ultimately boost the tourism sector and position the country as a sports and entertainment hub.”
The arena will enable the development of an international-standard events eco-system in Rwanda, encouraging global bodies to host major events in the country.
