The Church Commissioners for England has obtained the resolution for planning permission approval for a new 315-home community in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK.
This development is poised to connect the town with its river harbour through a 13.4ha master plan.
The new community is also expected to contribute to Cornwall Council’s vision for growth, as outlined in the Cornwall Local Plan.
It will offer a variety of housing types suitable for families, first-time buyers, and older residents, with 35% of the homes to be designated as affordable.
The development will also include a new local centre.
The location of the community allows for access to Falmouth’s array of leisure, retail, and cultural facilities.

The scheme will further include new public footpaths, open spaces, and green corridors that will link homes with play areas and parkland.
The site is bordered to the north by the A39 road, to the west by Union Road, and to the east by Falmouth Road.
Church Commissioners of England Strategic Land team lead Matthew Naylor said: “Our proposals support the Cornwall Local Plan’s vision for the sensitive growth of Falmouth and are in line with the Archbishop’s Commissions’ vision for sustainable, safe, stable, social and satisfying homes and communities.
“Located near the Penryn River harbour, the new community will support a mix of existing retail and community uses alongside a network of accessible green space.”
