Construction has commenced on Pitfodels Wood, a new 65-bed care home in Scotland, with a sod-cutting ceremony held in April 2024.
Clark Contracts is handling the construction of the facility, while elderly care provider Meallmore is developing it.
Located on North Deeside Road adjacent to The Marcliffe Hotel, the care home will provide personalised care for elderly individuals, including those with dementia and related conditions.
Clark Contracts director Michael Scanlan said: “We are excited to be working with Meallmore to deliver this major new development, which will provide first class facilities for residents.
“We look forward to working with Meallmore, the design team, and wider community as we deliver the project.”
The four-storey L shaped building set within landscaped gardens is claimed to have been designed to maximise views of the surrounding mature woodland and the Deeside Valley.
