Swedish construction company Peab has secured a contract from Y-Säätiön M2-Kodit to build homes in Tampere, Finland.
As per the terms of the $12.5m (€11m) turnkey contract, Peab will build a five-storey high-rise structure featuring 95 apartments.
The apartment building will also have a courtyard as well as a community space, which includes space for remote work in the city borough Hervantajärvi in Tampere.
Peab said that the new structure will have an energy class A rating and will feature solar panels on the building roof in order to reduce its carbon footprint.
Construction works at the site are set to begin this month, with completion anticipated in June 2023.
The project order will be registered in the first quarter of this year.
