Nordic construction company Peab has secured a contract to build a new holiday home complex, named Trysil Suites, in Trysil, Norway.

The contract, valued at Nkr194m ($18.3m), was awarded by Skiab, a joint venture between Peab and SkiStar.

The project will feature 37 holiday apartments with sizes ranging from 81m² to 195m², offering ski-in/ski-out facilities, a gym, and storage for sports equipment.

Many Trysil Suites will also comprise private balconies or terraces offering views of the Trysil Mountains.

Additionally, residents will have direct access to the Radisson Blu Resort via an indoor passageway, providing access to a range of amenities such as a spa, swimming pool, and restaurants.

The project, which is a turnkey contract, is scheduled to start this May, with completion expected in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026.

The project will be registered in Peab’s order book for Q1 2025.

District manager for Peab Norway’s construction operations Per Ivar Rasmussen said: “We’re very grateful for being chosen to carry out this exciting project. Peab has broad experience and expertise in this type of development that has a strong focus on quality and an efficient design and construction process.”

Recently, Peab was tasked with the construction of a new building for the University of Gothenburg’s School of Business, Economics and Law in Sweden.

The forthcoming facility will span 10,800m² across eight storeys, including a basement.

Furthermore, the Swedish Transport Administration has awarded Peab a Skr335m contract to continue the rebuilding of Lund’s E22 highway.
