A joint venture of Parsons and Vanir have been selected to provide construction management and inspection (CMI) services for the Sacramento International Airport’s SMForward programme.
The contract, which has been awarded by the Sacramento County Department of Airports in the US, is valued at approximately $30m.
It is valid for a period of the next five years.
SMForward, a $1.3bn airport improvement initiative, includes terminal gate expansions and landside projects.
These enhancements aim to support the airport’s growth and modernisation efforts, aligning with the Sacramento County Department of Airports’ efforts to improve passenger convenience, comfort, as well as accessibility.
Launched in February of the previous year, SMForward is set to reshape the airport in anticipation of increased passenger numbers over the next seven years.
