NV5 Global has secured a $15m contract to deliver construction management services for the initial phase of the North County Corridor project in Stanislaus County, California, US.
This initiative is expected to improve regional mobility, reduce congestion, and drive economic growth, particularly in the local agricultural sector, which produces four million tonnes of goods annually.
The North County Corridor project is a multiphase development, with the first phase set to commence next month.
It includes constructing a modern expressway featuring a single-point urban interchange, pedestrian enhancements, and several critical infrastructure improvements.
The project also entails upgrading local roads and constructing seven bridges and various mechanically stabilised embankment walls, with completion expected within three years.
This project is a collaborative effort involving the Stanislaus Council of Governments, the cities of Modesto, Riverbank, and Oakdale, and the California Department of Transportation.
NV5 CEO Ben Heraud said: “NV5’s focus as a consultant on mandated services and infrastructure enhancements has positioned us well to compete on large-scale, essential infrastructure improvements that are not dependent on current economic conditions.
“This award is a testament to NV5’s decades-long relationship with municipalities and transportation departments responsible for the safety, reliability, and efficiency of public infrastructure, and we are pleased to contribute to the delivery of the North County Corridor project.”
NV5 Global provides technology, certification, and consulting solutions for public and private-sector companies across multiple verticals.
In March 2024, NV5 Global secured a three-year deal valued at $27m, to provide not at-risk construction management services in the US.
