The New South Wales (NSW) state government of Australia has granted approval for a new A$139m ($88.9m) warehousing estate in Western Sydney’s Aerotropolis.
The 19.4-hectare development, classified as a State Significant Development, is poised to offer a broad spectrum of warehousing solutions. It is also set to bolster local employment with more than 600 new jobs.
Spanning over 63,500m² of floor area across seven buildings, the estate will feature warehousing spaces ranging from 1,000m² to 30,000m².
The project includes additional amenities such as an on-site café, office spaces, and a comprehensive estate road network.
It also incorporates two landscaped open spaces, stormwater management facilities, signage, waterway rehabilitation, car parking, and infrastructure installation.
The construction of the new industrial estate is scheduled to start in mid-2025, with the first warehouse opening planned for December 2026.

By GlobalDataThis development is claimed to be one of the first for the Aerotropolis and is expected to support its expansion by providing essential logistics and warehousing space.
The estate’s approval is in line with the recent endorsement of Bradfield City’s Central Park and the inauguration of its First Building.
The NSW Government has committed over A$1bn to initiate the Bradfield City Centre, delivering early commercial buildings, infrastructure, and services to catalyse billions in private development. This investment is anticipated to yield more than 10,000 new homes and 20,000 job opportunities.
Moreover, the Aerotropolis currently has A$14bn worth of private development applications in the pipeline, which are expected to create 120,000 jobs.
NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully said: “With the Western Sydney International Airport on the horizon and developments like this one gaining momentum, we’re laying the foundations for a Western Sydney that’s more connected, more vibrant, and offers more opportunity than ever before.
“The NSW Government is helping to drive investment, create jobs and support the development of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis with vital space for logistics.
“This project shows confidence in Western Sydney’s economic future. From construction jobs to long-term roles in logistics and operations, it’s investments like this that are helping to power our state’s growth and prosperity.”
Earlier this month, the NSW Government confirmed contracts with a consortium for the management of the Waterloo South housing renewal project.
