The NRP Group has announced the commencement of construction on its new housing community, Nova Lofts, in San Antonio, Texas, US.
Leaders from NRP, Community Housing Resource Partners, and the City of San Antonio (COSA) gathered to break ground on the 65-unit community on the north-east side of the city.
Nova Lofts marks NRP’s third ground-breaking for affordable housing in San Antonio this year, with the second project supported by the 2022 Affordable Housing Bond Program from the COSA Neighborhood and Housing Services department.
The funding partnerships, which included a $2.7m allocation from the bond and competitive 9% low-income housing federal tax credits from the State of Texas, supported the $24m development project.
Nova Lofts, situated at 127 Rainbow Drive, is strategically positioned close to Alamo Heights, numerous essential businesses, employers, and public transit.
The four-storey complex will offer one- to three-bedroom floor plans for residents with incomes ranging from 30-60% of the area median income. Amenities include a playground, fitness centre, community clubhouse, and others.
