Trimble has started construction on a second building, expanding its campus in Westminster, Colorado, US.
Expected to accommodate more than 1,100 workers, the employment centre is intended to serve as a central business hub for the firm’s core market segments, such as construction, agriculture and geospatial.
The new facility will be designed to include more co-working areas, a walkway connection between the two buildings and an outdoor amphitheatre.
For planning, construction and operational phases of the new building, the contractors, surveyors, architects and designers are set to use more than 50 of the firm’s solutions for improved efficiency.
Trimble president and CEO Steven Berglund said: "Trimble's mission is to provide transformative solutions that impact every phase of a construction project and using our own facility as a demonstration project is an exciting opportunity.
"For the duration of the project, we will be able to closely interact with all of the stakeholders, deepen our insight and utilise the learning in future solutions."

By GlobalDataThe capabilities will be used by general contractor JE Dunn and trade partners in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, layout and concrete to optimise work and coordinate with other stakeholders.
JE Dunn Construction senior project manager Vince Stellino said: "Trimble's comprehensive approach to civil and building construction technology makes it easier for our teams to communicate with each other, work more efficiently, and stay on schedule.
"We use Trimble technology on many of our jobsites, but it's an added bonus to have Trimble product teams on hand each day as we leverage the products they have developed for the construction of their own office building."
Scheduled to be completed late next year, the new project extends Trimble's footprint in the country and international markets.
