US-based Kinslow, Keith and Todd was appointed by Tulsa People Magazine to design a skyscraper called Tornado Tower for the city of Tulsa.
The architecture firm proposed a ‘twister’ shape for a building after Tulsa People Magazine requested proposals to rejuvenate the area, which currently offers a part-time garage.
The proposed funnel cloud-shaped Tornado Tower is planned to be built near BOK Center, the 19,000-seat home of the Tulsa Oilers. It will house a weather museum and a research centre, The Daily Mail reported.
Tornado Tower could range from 20 to 30 storeys, with each storey said to be stacked in an upside-down pyramid shape. It would also have LED lights on the exterior.
The top floor of the building will have a 360° rotating restaurant that would spin counter-clockwise, the direction tornadoes travel.
Fox23 reported that the tower will have a solid core up the middle of the building consisting of elevators and bathrooms.

By GlobalDataA terrace at the top of the tower would be designed for reporters to perform weather broadcasts.
According to the architects, there is also the possibility for office space and classrooms at the building’s base, which could help teach visitors about weather safety.
