US developer Harwood International has broken ground on the construction of a seven-storey, build-to-suit office for luxury watchmaker Rolex in Dallas, Texas.
Adjacent to Saint Ann Court at Harry Hines Boulevard and Moody Street, the 138,857ft² mid-rise building is the ninth development for Harwood International in the 18-block Harwood District and is reported to feature uniquely stacked floors with a twist design.

Harwood CEO Gabriel Barbier-Mueller was cited by The Dallas Morning News as saying: "We built the first office building in Uptown [for Rolex], and after 30 years, Rolex and Harwood International are partnering once again to build another addition in our district.
"This development will set a new standard for work life in the US.
"We intend on creating an office that will feature a unique blend of innovative architecture and gardens that Dallas has never seen before."
Harwood’s design arm, Dallas-based HDF and Japan’s Kengo Kuma & Associates collaborated to produce the building design.
It will have 56,422ft² of office space along with a Japanese-inspired tiered garden with rampart stone walls at the base of the building, and cascading waterfalls and reflecting pools inside.
Development plans also include a parking zone, a parking garage for Rolex employees, and pedestrian-friendly pavements.
The Rolex building is scheduled to open late next year.
