Grimshaw has been chosen by ENTIQ and DV4 to design Europe’s new technology innovation centre in the UK.

The centre will be located at Here East, a 1.2 million ft2 digital and creative campus in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

Grimshaw will design the centre, which will span an area of 6,750m2. The building will feature modular settings in response to the requirements of the innovative corporate companies and start-ups it will accomodate, offering a more flexible space.

“Working with Grimshaw, we are bringing design thinking, product innovation, and new ways of working.”

ENTIQ’s co-founder and CEO of the centre Claire Cockerton said: “Working with Grimshaw, we are bringing design thinking, product innovation, and new ways of working with smaller and local suppliers into the core of this project.

“This is critically important to this architectural endeavour as we transform the Olympic Press and Broadcast Centre on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into a thriving technology, business and innovation cluster, which serves the unique and dynamic needs of its members.”

The centre will serve as a testing ground for the production and demonstration of new ideas with an in-house Maker’s Lab. It is expected to officially open next year.
