Nemetschek Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all shares in GoCanvas Holdings, a US-based provider of field worker collaboration software.
The Build segment of Nemetschek Group provides subscription and software as a service products.
These are designed to streamline customers’ tasks and seamlessly integrate with other architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AEC/O) solutions and platforms.
Meanwhile, GoCanvas specialises in digitising traditionally paper-based processes and offers cloud and mobile solutions, enabling real-time data collection, digital checklists, and more.
The deal is set to enhance Nemetschek’s current Build portfolio by offering solutions that streamline operations for on-site professionals across the construction, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
These solutions cover workflows related to safety, environmental, social, and governance, quality, and work progress.

By GlobalDataThe acquisition is also said to align with Nemetschek’s Build & Construct Division, offering growth opportunities and technology synergies.
Nemetschek CEO Yves Padrines said: “GoCanvas is a great fit and a perfect complement to our existing solution portfolio in the Build segment and therefore represents a valuable addition to our expertise in covering the complete AEC/O life cycle.
“Adding the powerful solutions of GoCanvas gives us a strong competitive edge while opening access to a rapidly growing market for field workforces in construction and other adjacent verticals.”
In addition, Nemetschek’s brand, Bluebeam, plans to leverage its influence in the built environment to introduce GoCanvas solutions, extending additional value to field workers.
In April this year, Nemetschek and Autodesk entered into an interoperability agreement to optimise workflows for their respective customers.
