Morris & Spottiswood Group has acquired part of the collapsed ISG group, a move that secures the employment of more than 100 individuals and extends the company’s reach within the UK.
The acquisition has led to the establishment of Morris & Spottiswood England, a new division that complements the existing Morris & Spottiswood Scotland and Livingston M&E businesses.
This deal adds 111 new employees, including ISG’s senior management team, to the company.
It also enhances Morris & Spottiswood’s portfolio within the financial sector by adding a number of major financial institutions, and its presence in the retail sector with the addition of two major retailers.
The acquisition is expected to generate up to £100m ($126.37m) in revenue over the next 15 months, significantly accelerating Morris & Spottiswood Group’s growth strategy. It is also projected to boost the group’s turnover to £265m, representing an annual growth of 74%.
The newly formed Morris & Spottiswood England will operate from ten offices across the UK, from Glasgow to Whitstable. The Whitstable office is now equipped to provide in-house joinery services, delivering continuity for clients.
