Morgan Sindall Construction’s Scotland business has completed construction on new community sports complex at Lennoxtown High Park in the UK.
The company was appointed by East Dunbartonshire Council through the SCAPE Scotland framework.
The £4.3m ($5.43m) project transformed an under-used sports field into a new all-weather sports pitch for local clubs.
East Dunbartonshire Council Place, Neighbourhood and Corporate Assets Committee convener and councillor Paul Ferretti said: “This community asset represents a major capital investment in the village and I know that it will be well-used by local clubs.
“The project has been delivered on budget and I am pleased to see that bookings are now open for the new facility just in time for the Easter holidays.”
The new complex now features a 3G astroturf pitch, replacing the original grass playing fields, allowing for year-round use.

The extension includes two additional changing rooms, adding to the original two, and features upgraded toilet and shower facilities, as well as an equipment store.
Further enhancements include critical drainage and ground retention works to address standing surface water issues.
The addition of floodlighting extends the usability of the pitch into the evening hours.
The improvements also include spectator areas and improved parking facilities for both cars and bicycles, along with street lighting.
Morgan Sindall Construction Scotland managing director Stuart Parker said: “It’s a privilege to deliver this first-class sports facility that will play a key part in improving the health and wellbeing of people in Lennoxtown.
“By renovating the previous facility, it will breathe fresh life into the area and encourage people to stay fit and active.”
The complex, owned by the Council, will be managed and operated by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLC).
