Mirvac has lodged a planning permit application (PA) for its site at 383 La Trobe St in Melbourne, Australia, to create a 31-storey office tower designed by Cox Architecture.
The tower will house 44,000m² of A-Grade office space, accommodating up to 4,000 future workers.

Envisioned as a workplace precinct that supports collaboration and agility, the project will incorporate open air terraces, smart building technology and interconnected workplace villages.
Mirvac Office and Industrial head Campbell Hanan said: “Flexibility underpins the entire workplace design of the building at 383 La Trobe St. Large efficient floor plates (up to 2,400m²) that are future-tech-enabled are designed to give businesses the freedom to create bespoke connected and engaging workspaces.
“The unique activation of the ground plane, which incorporates amenity, co-working and wellness offerings, supports the demand Mirvac is seeing from the next generation of workers.”
Located within Melbourne’s courts precinct, the company has planned an activated project that visually connects to Flagstaff Gardens, linking through to Goldbrough Lane and beyond.
The design also includes 700m² of new lifestyle and retail amenities, such as a wellness centre, retail laneway, and a forum with leafy green public spaces for socialising and relaxation.
Hanan added: “As we prepare for the recovery from Covid-19, we are firmly focused on advancing our development pipeline. Progressing projects like 383 La Trobe St through the planning stages will mean Mirvac can rebound as quickly as possible, as well as support the recovery of the wider economy.”
Construction at 383 La Trobe St is expected to commence in 2022.
