Real estate firm Mill Creek Residential has started the construction of a mixed-use apartment community called Modera Creative Village in Orlando, Florida, following a groundbreaking ceremony.

The site is located at the intersection of West Amelia Street and Ronald Blocker Avenue in the Creative Village district of Downtown Orlando.

The eight-storey building will feature 292 apartment homes. It will include almost 10,000ft² of retail space on the ground floor.

Community amenities will include a resort-style pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, clubroom, outdoor kitchen / dining area, private seating areas and outdoor courtyards, among others.

Once complete, the Modera Creative Village will be bordered by a large public park.

Mill Creek Residential vice-president of development Eran Landry said: “The momentum of Creative Village will produce a dynamic urban infill neighbourhood with prime opportunity for immediate growth, and we’re excited to be a part of it.

“We believe Creative Village will quickly become one of the most desirable places in the downtown market, and we’re eager to offer a unique living experience.”

Modera Creative Village will feature studio, one, two and three-bedroom homes in multiple design options.

The interiors will feature 42-inch custom cabinetry, wood-style flooring, solid-surface countertops, tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, stackable washers and dryers, designer fixtures and lighted mirrors at bath vanities.

The first move-ins are expected in early 2022.

The project is Mill Creek’s second development community in Orlando after Modera Central. Situated in the South Eola neighbourhood, Modera Central began leasing in 2018.
