
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has chosen Michael Baker International, a provider of engineering, planning and consulting services, for a three-year, $50m maximum value On-Call Design Services contract.
The contract will focus on the design of highway projects in the state on an as-needed basis through the end of 2024.
The award of the contract aligns with the Connecting Arkansas Program, which is considered one of largest highway construction programs ever undertaken by the state transport department.
Michael Baker International’s Little Rock office executive Amanda Furr said: “Michael Baker has worked throughout Arkansas for nearly 20 years and our personnel bring extensive local experience and knowledge to this new contract.

Scope of the contract involves Michael Baker carry out several projects, including resurfacing, restoration, rehabilitation, reconstruction, new construction, capacity improvements, intersection improvements, conceptual layouts, site design, cost estimates.
The contract also includes engineering studies, value engineering studies or any other design-oriented tasks requirement for project development for the transportation department.
