McShane Construction Company has concluded the construction of a living development for older people in West Dundee, Illinois, US.

This project was developed for Westbrook at Canterfield.

The Woodlands features a total of 131 units, of which 91 are assisted-living units alongside 40 memory care beds.

McShane Multi-Family director Susan Uhlarik said: “We are excited to reach completion on The Woodlands at Canterfield.

“This development seamlessly combines luxury senior living, state-of-the-art personalised care, and exceptional resources.”

Located on a nine-acre site, the project encompasses one-, two-, and three-storey buildings with a fibre cement panel and stone veneer facade.

By adopting a nature-inspired design, the development intends to bring back the site’s past as an apple orchard.

Each unit of the site features studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans and comprises high-end finishes such as vinyl plank flooring, granite countertops, and maple cabinets.

The property also includes an assisted-living wing, which includes a guest suite for visitors.

Wide hallways, secure entrances, and large toilet facilities are among the adaptations made for residential care.

Amenities include a salon, fitness centre, on-site restaurants, and a theatre.

Outdoor amenities include a bocce ball court, a putting green, patios, and a fire pit.

US-based AG Architecture worked as the architect while RDG Planning and Design worked as the interior designer for this project.

Earlier this month, McShane successfully delivered the Hackney House Apartments project at Pabst Farms in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, US.

This 302-unit multifamily development includes 18 two-storey garden-style buildings and two three-storey townhome buildings.
