UK-based construction firm McAleer & Rushe has been appointed as the contractor for a £47m office development project in Leeds city centre, the UK.

The new project, named City Square House, is being developed by MRP, McAleer & Rushe’s development and investment division.

It will transform the last remaining undeveloped property overlooking the City Square, which is strategically located beside Leeds Station.

The 12-storey sustainable and flexible Grade A office accommodation will comprise 83,000ft2 of office space, along with an extensive reception and common areas.

It also includes roof terraces on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors, apart from extensive cycling, electric vehicle and e-bike charging point facilities.

A global law firm DLA Piper will occupy the prime office space in this 140,000ft2 building, which is claimed to be the largest private sector pre-let deal in Leeds in the last 20 years.
