MC Construction has started expansion works at Springfield School in Crewe, Cheshire, UK, to add new spaces at the site.
The multimillion-pound expansion will allow the school to include additional provisions for children with complex requirements.
It will see the construction of a wrap-around extension to the school’s current sports pavilion to provide space for eight new classrooms.
Additional spaces will include calm rooms, a sensory room, a therapy room, new toilets, as well as an extension and upgrade of the kitchen’s existing facilities.
Cheshire East Council’s southern planning committee has supported the expansion.
The project is also expected to help meet the high demand for specialist schools in the area.
