The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed a contract with Globe Group for the development of a 135,000m2 integrated logistics park and re-export zone at Jeddah Islamic Port.
A part of Mawani’s initiatives, this deal is aimed at establishing ‘world-class’ logistics facilities within and outside port areas, in an effort to make the country a global logistics hub.

The logistics park will also meet the country’s national development plans in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS).
Currently, Jeddah Islamic Port is undergoing transformation to improve its operations and capacity via development projects and concessions in partnership with strategic entities.
This move is expected to boost operational efficacy of container terminals and deepening approach channels, turning basins, and waterways.
The transformation project will also see construction of new berths with deeper drafts to accommodate large vessels.
