Maire Tecnimont’s subsidiary Tecnimont, in cooperation with its sister company Nextchem, has secured an EPC contract for a low-carbon ammonia Synloop facility in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
This turn-key contract carries a value of approximately $300m.
The scope of work under this contract includes engineering activities, supply of all materials and equipment, and construction activities.
Tecnimont will commence the engineering work immediately.
The commencement of the procurement and construction works will be confirmed later this year once a final investment decision is taken on the project.
Construction of the 3,000t per day low-carbon ammonia Synloop plant is expected to be completed by the second half of 2025.

Last month, Maire Tecnimont announced that its subsidiaries Tecnimont and Stamicarbon were awarded many new contracts and order variations for licensing, engineering services and EPC activities for a total value of around $96m.
These contracts were awarded by clients in Nigeria, as well in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
