Network Rail Property has unveiled its plans for the redevelopment of London Liverpool Street Station, aiming to enhance the customer experience.

Recognising the need for the station to be futureproofed, the proposed upgrades include increasing concourse size, improving accessibility, and adding new facilities.

The station, which connects more than 100 million passengers annually, is anticipated to see passenger numbers rise to more than 140 million by 2050.

The redevelopment is a transport-led initiative by Network Rail Property, focusing on passenger experience improvements such as step-free access alongside additional lifts and escalators.

The scheme also proposes new ticket barriers to reduce excess queuing, upgraded toilet facilities, and new entrances on Liverpool Street, Bishopsgate, and Exchange Square.

Additional waiting lounges, improved signage, increased cycle storage, and expanded retail and dining options are part of the plans to create more space and convenience for passengers.
