Lantstaden, a joint venture (JV) company owned by Lantmännen Fastigheter and ED Gruppen, is spearheading a property development in Norrköping’s inner harbour, Sweden.
The JV company will work with Norrköping Municipality to transform the area into a district featuring housing, green spaces, and commercial properties.
The initial phase will focus on six properties, with three dedicated to residential projects and the remaining three for commercial activities. Some of these residential properties are already finished while others are in various stages of construction.
This first development includes three residential properties offering 180 apartments ranging from one to four rooms with kitchens, and commercial spaces totalling 350m² on the ground floors of these residential buildings.
The construction and occupancy of these properties are expected to progress gradually.
Norrköping, with a population of 145,000, is located 160km south of Swedish capital Stockholm. The development of Norrköping’s inner harbour is a significant step towards creating a modern and sustainable district that serves the needs of both the community and its businesses.

Lantmännen Real Estate CEO Joachim Haas said: “The location of the new Johannisborg link means that Lantmännen can maintain production operations in the port, while the bridge will be a natural boundary between the remaining industrial area and the new district.”
The commencement of the Johannisborg link project is anticipated in 2025.
