Landcom, a New South Wales (NSW) government developer, has announced a partnership with Zauner Construction, a construction company based in Ulladulla, to deliver a new build-to-rent (BTR) project in Bomaderry, Australia.
The project will comprise 60 new homes, with 48 offered at market rates for long-term rent and 12 designated as affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households.
The development aims to demonstrate best practices in sustainable design, focusing on maximising energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and providing a healthy living environment with access to fresh air and natural light.
The mix of apartment sizes is designed to cater to the diverse needs and budgets of the local community.
Residents will have access to the Bomaderry railway station, shops, open spaces, and other amenities.
Construction of the BTR project on the state’s South Coast is expected to commence in the coming months.

In addition to the Bomaderry project, the NSW Government has revealed Landcom’s plans to redevelop the former WestConnex dive site at Camperdown into 500 new apartments.
This development will include 200 BTR apartments with discounted rents specifically for essential workers such as nurses, paramedics, teachers, police officers, and firefighters.
NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully said: “Landcom was formed by the Wran Labor Government and under a Minns Labor Government we are seeing a new level of investment and is supporting the delivery of new homes.
“From the regions to our city centres, the NSW Government is getting on with the job of delivering more affordable, well-built and connected homes to those that need it.
“The Minns Labor Government’s programme is boosting housing supply in areas where we know people are struggling with the rising cost of rent.”
Earlier this month, the refurbishment of the Wade Street Towers in Telopea, also known as ‘The Three Sisters’, commenced in NSW, aiming to repurpose nearly 150 vacant public housing units.
